Search this site powered by FreeFind

This will not find queries on the Colorado County Message Board. There is a separate search engine at that site.
Some of the resources on the "Online Data" page have their own search engines that will also need to be checked separately.
However, this will seach all of the cemetery records, obituaries, news items, biographies, etc.

Obituary & Other Tributes

Colorado County has suffered the loss of two prominent local historians in the past year. As we attempt to get the Colorado County TXGenWeb Project moving forward, we hope you will understand that our resources and ability to answer research questions are currently limited. Meanwhile, we invite you to spend some time perusing Dorothy's work on this award-winning genealogy and local history web site and encourage you to visit the Texas Room of the Nesbitt Memorial Library in Columbus. For additional information, please see note from the current county coordinator below.

County Coordinator

Rox Ann Johnson is now serving as the coordinator of the Colorado County TXGenWeb Project. She is the daughter of past coordinator, Dorothy Albrecht, and has access to Dorothy's correspondence. Due to pressing responsibilities she is currently unable to handle look-up requests. Please see the Look-Up Volunteers page for others who may be able to help you. Do feel free to contact Rox Ann regarding information or photographs you would like to contribute to this web site.

If you can offer any assistance with lookups or data, please let Rox Ann know.
